7" Labels/Show #3/+blah

Here is the first preview of "A State of Punk". These labels we're done by Nick Steinhardt [bass player in Touche Amore and graphic design master]. Check his website over at www.23in.com . We think they look amazing. The vinyl will be grey with random splatter colors, so each will have a nice individual look. When the rest of the artwork is finished i'll post it up here.

So we played Saturday night at The Cocaine. It was a good show, I thought we played the best that we have so far and we got to see some friends we don't normally see come out which was super cool! Thanks to everyone who came out, all the old friends, and our friends at The Cocaine who let this all go down. We played first and then our friends Sheeep came on and played. I don't think there is much else to say about the show, other than I only heard of like 1 person taking pictures, so if I find some i'll probably post them on our myspace.

I'd also like to mention real quick the anarchy that is happening in Greece. After a cop killed a teenage anarchist, young rebels have been destroying buildings and killing cops and the government has had no control over it. I am not happy about people dying, nor do I ever condone this kind of violence because of the innocent lives it kills. But what I do think is important about all of this is that fact that they are questioning the authority of the police state and trying to topple the oppression of the system. I hope that everything works out in Greece, I hope that the government collapses and the people start what they believe will be best for them. I hope there will be a peaceful resolve to this, and I hope that no more innocent lives are destroyed.

DEADHEAD SHOW #2

Last night we had our second show. Shit was wild! It was the Charged 6 year anniversary show and Catch Your Breath's last show, so all the Santa Clarita Valley oi! punx made it out. It was inside of a garage in Saugus. We played second after lagging on setting up for a while. Instantly from the first song, kids starting going ape shit. Jumping on top of us, getting hit by our guitars, moshing out of control, and just generally being drunk 16 year old punks. It was super fun. After our set, we all stayed to watch Charged where kids got even more insane, and then watched Catch Your Breath lay their band to rest. Kids went crazy for every song, and they put on an amazingly fun little performance. Apparently the drummer is now in Dangers, congrats on that. The other kids will be starting new bands too I guess so be on the lookout for that! At the end of their set the bass player (who's in both Charged and CYB) destroyed his bass which caused kids to start destroying drums and break the fuck out of that bass. Awesome shit. I dont know if anybody took pictures but I do know there is video of Charged and CYB so that will be cool to see.

We have another show tonite at The Cocaine in Los Angeles with our friends in Sheeep. Should be rager. check our myspace for details.

SHOW #1

So last night was our first show at The Spread in Sun Valley, CA. A great first show filled with friends and great music. First shout out goes out to all the bands who played last night: Black Sheep Wall, Thriller, Heavy Heavy Low Low, and Bleeding Kansas. Everyone played great, especially Bleeding Kansas who played some of our personal favorite songs from their EP 1859...shit was insane. There are some pictures floating around but I honestly haven't seen too many from our set yet. If I find some more i'll post them here or something. Second thanks goes to everyone who came out last night and it made it the most successful spread night so far. Make sure if you didn't go to check out the spread at www.myspace.com/the_spread_out and if you can please donate to help save the house!

In other news the 7" is on its way to the pressing plant and the artwork is getting done now. The 7" will be called "A State of Punk" and it will be available through Mayfly Records in the coming weeks. We also have some great shows lined up, including one in February with the great Ceremony at Motion La, so watch out for that. We're still looking to book more shows, so let us know about anything that we can jump on. i'll end this with our contact e-mail: deadheadpunks@gmail.com
